I usually make mostly non-vegetarian dishes during Sundays but I mostly cook either mutton or chicken but rarely i cook fish and prawns . Kids love to have fish fry but i love to eat curry and this is the first non -veg dish  after my marriage yes before my marriage I don’t  eat non -vegetarian because of am a pure vegetarian before my marriage but you guys don’t believe I am totally addicted to non-vegetarian after  started making to eat.

This fish curry is mainly made with any type of fish and we call it as pulusu  , for this curry we mainly use tamarind pulp and one chopped tomato and special spicy powder gives a unique taste to this curry.

Ingredients:

Fish  {here i used korameen you can use any fish}     : 1 kg

onions : 1 large make into big pieces

ginger garlic paste : 1 tbsp

salt : as per taste

red chilli powder : 4 tbsp

tamarind pulp : 1 cup

cumin and fenugreek powder : 1/2 tsp {roast both cumin seeds and fenugreek and make into fine powder}

oil       : 2tbsp

Method:

1. Wash and chop the fish pieces into big round slices and clean with some salt water.

2. Marinate the fish pieces with turmeric, salt, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder and keep aside for five minutes.

3. Take a wide pan and add some oil and heat for one minute, when oil gets heated  add onions and fish pieces.

4. Dont stir for one minute and put the flame on low and after two-minute stir slowly and  add tamrind pulp into the curry and add some water if necessary.

5.Cook for five to ten minutes and add coriander leaves  and add one chopped tomato and stir gently and when it comes to closer switch off the flame and serve with roti or steamed rice.
