In my previous post I posted chocolate modak and here I came up with one more modak recipe with saffron and khoya . Making of this modak is also same like chocolate modak but just add saffron milk to the mawa.
Mawa : 1 /2 cup roasted lightly
powdered sugar : 1 tbsp
milk powder : 1/2 tbsp
kesar / saffron : 10 strands
elachi/cardamom powder : pinch
- In a mixing bowl add mawa,sugar and mix well for two minutes.
- Now add remaining ingredients like milk powder,soaked saffron and elachi powder and mix continuously for five minutes.
- Take the modak mould and stuff the mixture in it Close it tight and remove extra oozed out mixture and gently take out the modak from the mould and serve this kesar modak to lord Ganesha.
