Neer mor is a summer drink made with buttermilk and along with some spices which helps us to stay healthy and helps to avoid from dehydration. This drink mainly makes at tamilnadu regions and thats why the name called neer mor{buttermilk drink}.This drink made especially during sri navami at tamilnadu regions.But we prefer to have during summer ,it also helps to digest the food and mostly it taken after lunch hours.This is mainly made with thick curd and some spices.At northern parts of India, with a little bit of variation they make masala chaas.

INGREDIENTS:

Yogurt /curd             : 1 cup

water                       : 3 cups

green chilli               : 2 [finely chopped]

ginger                      : pinch [finely chopped and grated]

oil                            : 1 tsp

salt                         : as per needed

mustard seeds         : 1/2 tsp

curry leaves             : 2 to 3 sprig

hing                     : pinch

coriander leaves    : few for garnish

METHOD:

  1. Add yogurt ,salt water in a blender and blend well.
  2. After blending add green chilles,ginger and mix well.
  3. Now heat a small pan add oil ,when oil gets heated add mustard seeds and curry leaves ,when it gets splutter add pinch of hing   and switch off the flame.
  4. Add this tempered to buttermilk and garnish with chopped coriander.
  5. Serve immediately or keep it in fridge and when its get chilled serve it.
