Carrot halwa which is also called as gajar ka halwa makes a prominent role in Indian festivals and functions, whenever any occasion comes to celebrate in Indian house holds this halwa comes to rescue and this sweet makes in two forms one with khoya and with condensed milk. Mostly everyone makes this sweet with khoya only but making with condensed milk gives the unique flavor to the halwa.

Here I made my halwa with condensed milk and my kids loved this delicious dessert very much,winter is the season where we get fresh delhi carrots and we make gajar ka halwa during this season , the sweetness of gajar and condensed milk texture gives a rich aroma to the sweet .

Instructions
  1. Heat a pan and add ghee ,add grated carrots and stir well.Cook untill raw smell disappears from carrots.
  2. Add milk and cook until carrots comes to close and all milk gets evaporated
  3. Add sugar and condensed milk and cook for few minutes until it gets cooked and becomes mushy.
  4. Finally add chopped nuts like cashews and raisins. Serve hot or cold
